The beauty of life is this..... wonderful things happen regardless of chaos or calm. Meet Justice. A curious thing about this little guy..... we had just about decided that his mama was sterile and we were going to have to let her go. 3 months ago I noticed that she appeared to be preggo, but I didn't want to hold out too much hope since she's kinda "big boned " and has shown false signs before. Rosie continued to show small signs that got bigger and more obvious, so I knew we had turned a corner with her... and goodness was surely coming. Last night I knew we were less than 24hrs from go time.
Justice was delivered early this morning.❤
Keep the faith friends. Sometimes when you are ready to bail out, that's when God shows up.
Have a beautiful day!
Let me preface this post by saying it's never a good idea to get your hand in the way of a sharp object! That said, life happens.
One of the reasons I embraced YL 7 years ago was this: preparedness. We live on a farm, and minor accidents are not an uncommon thing. I've gotten really good at triaging what "we can fix ourselves" and what needs bigger attention by professionals who stitch for a living.
I've heard it said that "your oils are expensive ". True. They can be pricey, but quality products generally are. Let's compare pricing here:
(We have a high deductible to meet, so all expenses would have been out of pocket)
💰A trip to the ER for a stitch up while company was in from out of town (time)
💰A covid test (personally not a fan of this)
💰Time waiting in the emergency room with a bunch of other people who might actually be sick.
💰💰stitches (according to this article, on insurance, it's 500$ per stitch https://www.advisory.com/.../why-does-a-hospital-stitch... )
💰Avoiding a conversation as to what recommended toxins I should be adding to my body for the next 10 days. (priceless)
💰💰💰💰💰💰= roughly 1000$ or more (based on the link above, with insurance it probably would have been about 5 stitches)
👀 Taking a look at my wound and recognizing that it was stitch worthy but relatively superficial.
* Applying the practical knowledge gleaned from reading and listening to others in our Young Living community. #PricelessEducation
*Having the tools on hand and having confidence in them. (Add Thieves foaming hand soap and Inner Defense to the list here)
💰 I estimate that I spent about 100$ on Plan B. 🙌🙏💗 #winnerwinner
Economics. Are our oils worth it? You betcha!
Have a blessed Tuesday!

Good morning friends! Yesterday as I was driving home, I passed a large section of what I thought was ragweed. I stopped, hopped out, and snapped a pic..... (planning on writing about allergies). I Googled ragweed and lo and behold, I'm fairly certain what I had snapped a pic of was our highly esteemed Goldenrod!
This got me to thinking... and I messaged my friend Danette. Neither of us was 100% certain it was even tho it definitely looks like it. 😂 #weareamateurbotanists
This little scenario made me value Young Living and all of their science and attention to detail even more so..... I mean, who wants to guess on a plant like this? It could mean the difference between effectiveness or a bad rash 😳. #wherethesundoesntshine
I also love how God gave us plants that have healing powers often just in the season that we may need it.
Most of us YL'ers know Goldenrod as that magical bedroom oil💖☝️....
.....But it's so much more than that! #alloilsaremultipurpose
Just a few other uses....
🌾seasonal respiratory support👈🙏🍂
🌾helps loosen mucus (drink more water too!)
🌾acts as a tonic to nourish and support kidneys and urinary tract #valuable
🌾supports healthy liver function
🌾creates an inhospitable environment for fungus
🌾supports a proper inflammatory response #greatforjoints!
All this to say.... don't leave Goldenrod in the bedroom! God blessed Gary with the know how and the willing spirit to share with all of us. It's up to us to maximize the potential of all our gorgeous and healing oils!

The application of knowledge is power... and it can save you a ton of money and time too.
Had a little boo boo this weekend that ranked on the "stitchable" list.
Anyone could do what I did... assess the situation and then either apply self care, or head to the professionals.
In this case, self care was the definite answer because I had the tools available and no body parts were dangling 😂 #beentheredonethat
Girl scouts used to teach good first aid skills... do they still do that? This is stuff every person should know.... because life happens.
Here is my M.O. in such events:
1. Assess the situation
2. Clean up the wound #wehavetheantibacterialsoapforthat
3. Stop the bleeding #wehaveoilsforthat
4. Apply the nifty bandage #easytobuyandkeeponhand
5. Take extra immune supportive measure (internally and externally for the next 10 days)
I trust my tools I have on hand.... that's half the battle. Poor quality tools will not be your friend. (The other half is not being squeamish about a little blood!)
Do you have what you need to manage life's little boo boo's?
Our YL tribe teaches each other skills (like these) that used to be handed down generation to generation. We are the keepers of our selves, and it is a blessing to have what you need on hand and know how to use it!
If 2020 has shown us nothing else, it's that we need to be prepared to care for our selves and our family (and pets!) as much as possible.
Come be a part of my tribe! We share info freely at the table!
Once again, I am grateful for Thieves Household Cleaner. I had a little accident this weekend and dried blood used to be one of those hard to treat stains on laundry day. #notanymore
Cynda Western Felini had given me this t-shirt, and it's one of my faves.... so I said a little prayer before dousing it with THHC, letting it sit for about 5 min, and then throwing it in the wash!
Dog crates are used for many things on a farm..... you just never know what kind of critter you'll have to be either caretaking or transporting. 🐰🐔🐍🐢🐱🐀#truth
Birds are fairly sensitive to toxins, and I've used this recipe with great success both in the coop and when cleaning transport crates.
Note: it also works well for kitty litter boxes AND, once you have the spray mixed up (I personally just use 8 oz of water + the other ingredients), you can use it as a misting spray over your kitty litter if it is a little stinky on occasion. #poopourri
Hey Wellness Prepper friends! A month ago, God watered a seed in my soul that had been planted twenty years ago.
If I am nothing more, I am a child of God with a desire to walk in integrity in all that I do and say. I will not waver from that.
In 1991, I graduated from pharmacy school and during the graduation ceremony, I made an oath👩⚕️ that contained parts of the Hippocratic oath to do no harm. My full intention as a pharmacist has always been to help people live fuller and healthier lives. The industry that is pharmacy has changed over the last 30 years, and so have I. The more I have learned in an effort to truly help people heal, the more my integrity became tested.
While there will always be a time and a place for westernized medical care (emergent care immediately comes to mind), until we learn to love ourselves enough to WANT to #dothethings predominately outside the system of Big Pharma, we will never achieve optimal health. Big Pharma does not want that for any of us. Chronic illness is a cash crop with a guaranteed harvest. The harvest is exponentially larger the more medications someone is on. Patients are ultimately a commodity.
For this reason, I have made the decision with my sweet husband's blessing, to step away from corporate pharmacy practice so that I can focus on helping people achieve health in a fully holistic manner. Speaking truth and light freely could only be done by stepping way from a paycheck that was indirectly also a muzzle.
Unmuzzled, I'm now free to fully practice pharmacy in a way that few do.... holistically. I understand the inner workings of how Big Pharma affects the body and mind. I also know that It IS possible to live "outside the system", using allopathic medicine only when absolutely necessary.
Interested in working on your health in a truly holistic manner? Let's chat. 📞.....I'm in it for the long haul and am stepping out in faith to help others using the gifts, talents, and 30 years experience God has given me. I was created for a time such as this as Esther (4:14) would say.... to help you find your wellness sweet spot, so that you can be all God created you to be too. #Hehasbigplansforeachoneofus
Here's my story~
Good morning friends! What a wonderful education filled weekend. 😍There isn't anything much better than getting your cup filled in a God honoring way, surrounded by like minded people whose focus is helping lead others to truth and healing!
Enjoy your Monday, and if you haven't already... seek out a circle of like minded folks who support you on your journey! Join us💖!
Serendipity is one of my most favorite things!💖.....like a little gift from God. And it's highly underrated!
About 5 days ago, I had a raging case of poison ivy. If you've ever had the poison ivy itch before, you know how bad it can be (especially when you are trying to sleep! 😭) I had put a bottle of Peppermint by my bed to use when the itching would wake me up at night (along with the rest of my nighttime oil stash).
So, in the middle of the night, I grabbed what I thought was peppermint, and rolled it all over my arm. It took me a sleepy minute to realize I had accidentally grabbed Thieves (which I use on the bottom of my feet at night for immune support).... a little spicy, but in a good way.
Here's the shocker tho...... it worked! 😱.... and it stopped the itching and dried up my poison ivy quicker than anything else I've ever tried.🙌... and only using it a couple times a day. I will definitely be adding this to my farmgirl arsenal👩🌾 against this common skin irritant.
What's something that you figured out by accident (serendipity) that rocks your world now?

Hey there....thanks for stopping by! This is me (Liz James)... an eclectic mixture of holistic (and organic) farmgirl meets pharmacist. It's a synergy that works well as I speak truths and dissect fact from fiction. If you're looking for healthier living options, you've come to the right place!
