#8: Viruses 101

Post #8: Viruses 101...... What we Know to be True about Viruses (aka.... the care and feeding of a virus).

Here we are, a little further into this situation and it certainly doesn't appear to be going away anytime soon. Like (hopefully) all of you, I'm willing to do what I can to help prevent the spread of the "invisible enemy" as I've recently heard this particular virus called.

So onward... ( Please refer to Posts, #5-7 for Action Points #'s 1-5). Let's consider a few more tools in the toolbox for creating an inhospitable environment for viruses....

Plan of Action #6 : L-Lysine: it's a foundational amino acid we need in our body. Viruses have difficulty thriving when we have enough of this on board. Really… anyone who struggles with any sort of viral related dysfunction probably needs extra supplementation but to have a healthy immune response on the daily…. Consider 500mg /day.

Plan of Action #7: Nano Silver - Colloidal Silver. CS definitely has a place in my tool box!
(Remember, everything deals in electricity). Silver is constantly on the prowl for a single electron. Pathogens have simple cell walls with single electrons, stealing the electron ruptures the cell membrane. Healthy cells have a lipid bilayer, so are not harmed. Here are a couple other colloidal silver tips:
👉Suggested immune support is 1 tsp twice a day.
👉 CS functions better if the body is alkaline.
👉CS functions better in the presence of antioxidants (think glutathione, Sulfurzyme, and NingXia Red) *antioxidants help ditch the die off toxins faster too.
👉AVOID IONIC silver (that is what can turn you blue)Colloidal is safe if it’s manufactured using the right electrical current (otherwise it can become ionic)
👉"Structured" CS --- safest and most effective at creating an inhospitable environment for pathogens.

Plan of Action #8: Viruses don’t like sunlight... spend time outdoor! (UV radiation is effective in killing off most viruses on surfaces) Bonus points for also getting some natural Vitamin D in the process! (You guessed it... viruses don't like healthy vitamin D levels in a body either, so I STRONGLY suggest supplementing! I personally take 50,000iu per week. )

Plan of Action #9: Viruses appear to like cooler temps and low humidity (no wonder they are more prevalent in the winter!) They survive on surfaces for a shorter amount of time at temps greater than 68 degrees, and when humidity is over 50%. I'm hopeful that as spring temps rise it will help the situation considerably!

Plan of Action #10: Viruses like sleep deprived people (because immune systems become impaired). Ya'll, pray for the health care workers as they work on few hours of sleep in an incredibly stressful situation. And do your civic duty to get more sleep yourself (thereby boosting your immune system). Plan of Action #11 There does appear to be a connection between EMF/ 5G and Viral infection.
**** In my opinion, this is the most important tip at all***...and for some of you.... it might seem far fetched. But I ask you...IS IT WORTH THE RISK?

5G is the accelerated cell phone radio frequency that all the big name telcom companies have been advertising, and IT.IS.NOT.SAFE.

I am concerned that it may be at the root of the virus activity.

Chronic exposure to 5G prevents the binding of oxygen to hemoglobin. 😳What happens when that happens in the body? Oxygen deprivation occurs.... and leaves us gasping for air... kinda like someone who might have a dry version of pneumonia. #soundfamiliar?

Chronic exposure to 5G also Increases cellular permeability to viruses. Well...... that can't be good!

Chronic exposure to 5G also increases the permeability of the blood brain barrier. Again.... I'm thinking that can't be a good thing either.

Wuhan China was the first city in the world to be completely blanketed by 5G.... and that happened shortly before everyone started getting so sick. I've noticed (check the coverage maps of the various telcom carriers) that the areas that have heavy 5G here in the USA coincidentally are also epicenters of this illness.  I do not understand why this possibility is not being explored or discussed on the news.....

Is it worth it to ignore these facts? #Idontthinkso

Your cell phone is a receiving device. Please don't sleep with it (or your laptop or pad) in your bedroom.

Leave it on airiplane mode when you are carrying it next to your body ESPECIALLY when in a 5G heavy environment.

Those ear buds you might be using..... they are receiving the radio frequency directly into your brain. I know they are expensive, but ditch them and get a wired set. Here is a reputable brand on Amazon:

victory gardens!

Springtime is one of my most very favorite times of the year, for many reasons…. Not the least of which is the anticipation of getting my fingers deep into the earth in preparation for seed planting time.

Spring this year has been somewhat challenging. Lots of distractions, an incredibly wet February and March, and a spirit of unrest that seems to have enveloped our world.

And yet….

The leaves and flowers continue to unfurl from the safety of their buds as if to tell us that life will go on, despite the circumstances at hand.

It makes me want to talk to the old timers…. The ones who were around as kiddos and young adults during WWII. What did it feel like, to have such a great unknown? To know that a loved one could be taken from them because they said yes to following God and their country? With only snail mail letters to communicate in the interim?

I hope a bearer or two of these memories will comment because I have a strong love of history and would love to hear the stories of resilience on the home front…...the peace they perhaps held that surpassed all understanding even when the world seemed anything but calm.

Perhaps this was another reason the people at home returned to gardening in 1942-43? Canned food and buying from grocery stores instead of self sufficiency was a relatively new concept to the world back then.
It had only been about 25 years since the first grocery store (A Piggly Wiggly if you remember those!) opened and self serve grocery shopping had quickly taken over supplying the USA with food.

25 years. One generation. Many had already lost sight of where nourishing food must come from.

1942….. Not 2020.

And then World War II happened.... and it didn't last days....it lasted years. 😥

Ask one of the old timers about those times. Invariably, one of their strongest memories will be the rationing of foodstuffs. Food was in short supply for a variety of reasons:

🍅The processed and canned foods they had become accustomed to buying at Piggly Wiggly suddenly were reserved for shipping overseas to the soldiers who were fighting and to our Allies who were bearing the brunt of the war devastation.

🍅Transportation of fresh foods was limited because of gasoline and tire rationing (priorities were placed on getting those to soldiers and to the war effort)

🍅Many farmers in the USA were off fighting instead of growing food.

🍅Imported food, especially the likes of coffee and sugar, were limited in supply.

Rationing books were issued. (I have one that belonged to my grandmother.) Stamps inside the books were for certain food categories, and if you had already used your stamp for that product for the month, you were not eligible to buy it until the following month rolled around. It prevented hoarding and encouraged creative menu planning. ( Hmmm …. Seems like we could use that principle these days for basic things like toilet paper!)

Suddenly, the skill of gardening became an asset again…. Not reserved for someone living on a farm. By 1920 tho, more Americans lived in cities than in rural areas for the first time in America’s history so this had to have been hard.

Real hard.😔

This situation was something they felt unprepared for, they had no land to make gardens. For others, it felt like they were being called home….. back to their roots…. and it was those whom the former leaned into and learned from….. And a beautiful thing began to sprout around the United States…..

Victory Gardens.

They began to sprout up across America and eventually across the world:

👩‍🌾People plowed up their beautiful front yards and lawns and began growing fruits and veggies.

👩‍🌾They pulled up their rose bushes and flowers and replaced them with edible foodstuffs.

👩‍🌾Pots and containers were used to grow gardens on back porches, patios, and stairways.

👩‍🌾Even public land was put to use….. San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park had one of the best public gardens in the country!

Neighbors helping neighbors. 👫

Sharing knowledge.

Sharing bounty.

Relying on God to supply no more or less than they needed.

Back to their roots.

The food, of course, was important, but so was the community idea of doing something for the common good, and the daily grounding… the resetting of emotions and release of nervous energy expelled just by getting dirt under their fingernails. In times like those, I am sure that gardening felt heavenly!

Anyone can do this…. Gardening.

All you need is Sunlight. Seeds. A container or two, or 12 (or a plot of land of any size). ….. And a desire to be part of the solution.

A time to heal.

A time to return to our roots.

Never gardened? Don’t let that stop you. You never know, you might pick up a new hobby you love while in this time of national time out.

The best growth comes during times of adversity…. Knowing that, our Great Nation should be due for a bountiful harvest. The Bible says it. This I know.

#7: Viruses 101

​Post #7: Viruses 101.... What we Know to be True about Viruses (aka.... the care and feeding of a virus)

What?!? You don't want to care and feed a virus of any sort?
Well, then..... let's set the stage for what it might look like to create an inhospitable environment should a virus want to step foot into your personal space. 😉

Please refer to Posts #5 & #6 for Action Points #1, #2, and #3 'cause I'm just gonna dive right in to.......

Plan of Action #4: Virus infection is dependent upon our body's pH.

To give you 10 seconds of science.... (ie: the how and why).....  Viruses LOVE an acidic environment because they rely of acidification of the endosomal compartment to enact their warfare on our cells.

What is the proper pH of a healthy person? Ideally, we want our body's pH to stay in the slightly alkaline range of 6.8-7.5 to help reduce the risk and lessen the severity of "bug" infestations.

In researching about pH and viruses, I found a study by the Royal Free Hospital and School of Medicine in London. That study concluded that raising the body's pH to an Alkaline state increases the immune system's ability to kill pathogens.

A healthy pH is directly related to a healthy oxygen supply in the body. Hmmmm....... is it any coincidence that our pH is also directly related to our body's electrical frequency? Nope. #wearefearfullyandwonderfullymade

👉TAKEAWAY: The lower the voltage of a body's cell = the lower the body's frequency = the lower the body's pH = the more apt sickness is gonna occur.👈

Here's a cool thing... we don't all have to run out and get test strips to test our pH, although you can certainly do that if you'd like. An easy and quick reference is dependent upon your emotions.

People with an alkaline pH tend to be predominately happy, joyful, calm, peaceful and are generally healthy. People with a more acidic pH tend to harbor emotions of anxiety, fear, anger, guilt, unforgiveness.....and they tend to catch lots of bugs and are prone to more body system dysfunctions.

(This is physics, biology, and neuropsychology all rolled up into one. Please refer back to my post on frequency and viruses if you need a refresher!)

Elevated levels of ☠️ carcinogens, toxins, exposure to indoor and outdoor pollution (this includes unhealthy foods and drinks) causes our cells to be unable to uptake oxygen efficiently. Indoor pollution (ie: what we deal with within our homes and offices) is actually more harmful than outdoor pollution.

Luckily, most of us are largely in control with, at least, our home indoor environment. As the gatekeepers, we have the authority to say what products we bring into our homes...... so it's pretty important job if we are to stay slightly alkaline!

🛀 DETOX BATHS ARE AN EASY WAY TO START ALLOWING YOUR BODY TO RETURN TO A HEALTHY ALKALINE STATE.
HERE'S AN EASY DETOX BATH RECIPE:
3/4 CUP EPSOM SALTS
2 CUPS BAKING SODA
1/4 CUP BENTONITE CLAY
MIX TOGETHER, AND CONSIDER ADDING 8-10 DROPS OF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ESSENTIAL OILS TO YOUR MIXTURE BEFORE ADDING TO YOUR BATH WATER: FRANKINCENSE, LEMON, ROMAN CHAMOMILE, LEDUM, GERANIUM, FENNEL, BLUE TANSY, AND/OR HELICHRYSUM.

Each oil bottle has an individual batch number that can be traced all the way back to the very seeds or acreage of trees that were planted and harvested. I wish our food supply did this! It gives me great peace of mind to know every effort is being made to keep the oils in their purest therapeutically active form.

Another way to encourage alkalinity, is a simple ingredient most of us probably have in our own homes: Baking Soda.

I'll admit, baking soda in water doesn't taste great, but we can all take and do things if it increases the odds of being healthy, right? I have opted to utilize a YL product called Alkalime when I feel like I've dipped my toes into the acidic side of the wellness pool. It tastes much better than baking soda in water, but I've used baking soda in a pinch.

Take a look at this historical piece of info regarding baking soda and illness that I found:👇

Public Health Service it was brought to my attention that rarely any one who had been thoroughly alkalinized with bicarbonate of soda contracted the disease, and those who did contract it, if alkalinized early, would invariably have mild attacks. I have since that time treated all cases of ‘Cold,’ Influenza and LaGripe by first giving generous doses of Bicarbonate of Soda, and in many, many instances within 36 hours the symptoms would have entirely abated. Further, within my own household, before Woman’s Clubs and Parent-Teachers’ Associations, I have advocated the use of Bicarbonate of Soda as a preventive for “Colds,” with the result that now many reports are coming in stating that those who took “Soda” were not affected, while nearly everyone around them had the “Flu.”
Recommended dosages from the Arm and Hammer Company for colds and influenza back in 1925 were:

This info ☝️ from Arm & Hammer historical archives is interesting, isn't it? Our ancestors used some very simple things to stay well and healthy.  #anditworked

Plan of Action # 5 : Iodine
Iodine is absolutely critical to our immune system's health, and approximately 97% of individuals in the USA are estimated to be deficient.

As long as we're revisiting history, I stumbled across another interesting historical factoid about Iodine.... and I can't recall ever learning it in pharmacy school. .... We definitely learned about iodine's role in healthy thyroid function and that's why I take a YL supplement ( Thyromin) that happens to have kelp (a natural source of iodine) in it to keep my thyroid happy..... but we're talking about immune system function... not the thyroid today.

Interesting factoid: Did you know that it was once commonly recommended to mist areas with an iodine solution when there were viral outbreaks? I did a little perusing, and found a book (The International Record of Medicine and General Practice Clinics, Volume III circa 1920) that gave easy (but medically specific) instructions on how to do so... you can find it with a little digging on Google.

Then, I found this little jewel that was written more recently in 2009. Here is an excerpt (or you can read the full article also attached below)👇:

"When iodine was suspended in a solution, viral inactivation occurred at dilutions of 1/1,000,000. Aerosols inactivated many viruses within 30 seconds or less. Watery solutions such as Lu- [7,8,12] gol’s are the superior germicides. "

I'm wondering why nobody is doing this in virus laden areas nowadays? It's cheap, easy, and harmless (unless you are a virus!). #IthinkIknowtheanswertomyownquestion $$$

MEET SPANKY

Meet Spanky.... when he was younger, I'm pretty sure he thought his name might be "No, Spanky" 😉.

Spanky isn't a teenager anymore, but his antics (and his genetics) still land him in trouble on occasion. He is a fence jumper, and a digger.... and he loves to utilize his herding genes to keep the cows and horses all in line when he thinks we aren't watching even tho he knows we prefer he not unless asked. #cattledogsskills

His failure to heed our attempts to keep him from getting into trouble has given him a snaggle tooth and a few hard earned life lessons.

So I wasn't entirely surprised when Spanky went from running like the wind, to favoring his back paw last week. I was pretty confident he had gotten stepped on when he was in the midst of shenanigans. Nothing appeared to be broken.... just a sensitive paw. A couple of days passed, and instead of getting better, it seemed like it was getting worse... swollen in fact. So, before making a vet appt, I did a thorough assessment again, and this time, found what appeared to be a scab on one of the pads of his paw.... but a suspicious scab🤔. I grabbed a pair of tweezers and gently worked at the scab.... only it wasn't a scab..... It was the mother of all thorns 😱. Poor baby! I felt terrible that I hadn't found it sooner😥..... the good news is that, his relief was almost instantaneous, and after washing his wound thoroughly with colloidal silver and a couple of other natural healing agents, and starting him on Inner Defense to boost his immune system.... swelling is now negligible and he is back to bossing cows around when he thinks I'm not looking.

Being prepared isn't a season.... it's a life skill and it's on the daily around here... ie: business as usual on the farm. We know how to care for our own, but we also know when we are in over our heads. I've got to make a vet appt this afternoon for something that's beyond my skillset, and that's ok.... that's why we love our vets!..... But it surely is nice (and economical) to be able manage many health concerns from home!

Plan of Action #3: Viruses (in general) cannot set up camp and unpack their "bug in" bags unless some things go awry in a body ⛺️

If a virus enters into your personal space, one of the first things its going ask itself is this:

"Does this body have impaired glutathione production?".... or is it gonna put up a fight?"

What the what? I thought we needed a strong immune system to fight off any viruses? Yes, that you do. But let's unpeel a layer of that onion shall we? 

Glutathione is something our body manufactures in every single one of its cells. It is often considered the most important cellular defense/ antioxidant that allows the body to prevent and fight infections and disease.

It also plays a crucial role in immune response, DNA repair, and the detoxing we must be doing constantly to ward off the damage done by medications, household (or other) chemicals, radiation, & our own metabolic wastes.

(Ya'll... if we are laden with these wastes, chemicals, and broken DNA.... ain't no way we will be able to effectively fight off bacteria, viruses, and destructive toxins that constantly assault our body).

HERE'S A BONUS IN THE DEAL, GLUTATHIONE IS ALSO THE PROTECTOR OF OUR IMMUNE CELLS. IT EFFECTIVELY FEEDS, PROTECTS, AND STRENGTHENS THE IMMUNE SYSTEM AND BOOSTS WHITE BLOOD CELL PRODUCTION (TO FIGHT INFECTION) .... .... THE QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF OUR LIVES IS LITERALLY DEPENDENT UPON GLUTATHIONE.

Normally, glutathione is recycled in the body.... except when the toxic load is too much of a burden, and/or the simple building blocks (which I will talk about in a bit) are lacking....And that is where trouble happens.😬

Who might have impaired glutathione production? ....well... glad you asked!

👵👴 The elderly

💉 The vaccine injured (another topic for another day)
🔥 Those with acidic internal environments (Remember, we need to be constantly striving for a slightly alkaline body pH.... all diseases.... including viruses, love an acidic environment)

🚬 Smokers

🍔🍟 Those who are nutritionally deficient. Not to make light of the current virus situation, but 1 in 5 deaths in the USA is related to nutritional deficiencies.... that's 11 million people a year friends. 😳 #easilypreventable

💊💊 Those who are on certain medications. Some meds deplete glutathione in the body.... and this acquired deficiency usually gets misdiagnosed as a side effect (and more medication is prescribed instead of correcting the deficiency .... heavy sigh)

If you are taking medications in any of the following drug classes, you'll want to pay special attention to how to help improve glutathione production:
💊Acid Blockers (ex: Nexium, Pepcid, Prilosec, Protonix etc)
💊Analgesics (ex: Acetaminophen or any product containing acetaminophen including Hydrocodone)
💊Antacids that contain Aluminum (please, in Jesus name, do not knowingly consume Aluminum anyway! 🙏
💊Certain Antibiotics (including amoxicillin, zithromycin, cephalexin and related, doxycycline, quinolones, and sulfamethoxazole )
💊 Anti-inflammatory meds: (NSAIDS, Steroids, and Aspirin)
💊 Diuretics (ex: Furosemide and HCTZ)
💊 Birth control and synthetic hormone replacement therapy
Ugggh. That was a long list 😔

How might we go about improving glutathione production, and in the process.... improve our immune function? #wehaveourways 

We need a sulfur donor! Sulfur (not to be confused with the drug class "sulfa") is required in our very DNA, and it's a major building block needed for Glutathione production.
Common sulfur food sources include broccoli, kale, collards, cabbage, cauliflower, and watercress, and raw milk. Sadly, our soils (even on many organic farms) are depleted of minerals due to farming practices, so supplementation is a really good idea.

One of my most favorite YL supplements is called Sulfurzyme. As you might guess from its name.... it's a rock star sulfur donor. 😉 I take it for a variety of reasons that I'm not even gonna go into today, but cannot imagine my life without it, especially now that immune health is a pertinent topic these days.

🍊 Secondly, glutathione production needs a natural source of Vitamin C. (Synthetic abounds.... try to avoid it if you can.... it's derived from GMO'd corn). #justsaynotoGMO

My favorite source of naturally sourced Vitamin C is Young Living's Super C Chewables. It also comes in a non-chewable form, but I take them daily as a healthy "treat" 'cause they're kinda tasty!

Thirdly, glutathione production needs a source of Magnesium. Natural sources are always best ( dark chocolate, avocados, nuts, beans, chickpeas, pun'kin seeds), but once again.... soils are depleted of minerals, so I supplement. Young Living does not yet stand in the gap for us for this supplement, but I've found a plant based brand I feel comfortable recommending: NATURELO Magnesium Glycinate.

🍄 Finally.... selenium and Vitamin E... both are needed in small amounts. I take a supplement that has trace amounts of selenium, and that... in combination with mushrooms, grass fed beef, eggs, and oatmeal will do my body good.

Natural sources of Vitamin E include nuts, sunflower seeds, spinach and broccoli, so I'm pretty well covered there as well.

Post #5 Corona Virus 101..... What we Know to be True about Viruses (aka... the care and feeding of a virus).

What?!? You don't want to care and feed a virus of any sort?

Well, then..... let's set the stage for what it might look like to create an inhospitable environment should a virus want to step foot into your personal space. 😉

Rest assured, we are NOT sitting ducks and there is much we can do.... beyond buying excess toilet paper! #dothethings

Plan of Action #1: Girl (or guy!), wash your hands. It is a well established fact that 20 seconds of a good full on hand washing (esp palms and fingers) does a stellar job of keeping you healthy. I (personally) follow that with a dab of the Thieves hand sanitizer. I was working at the pharmacy yesterday, and all the hand sanitizer is out of stock (we were discussing gluing the bottle we have at the pharmacy down so someone doesn't steal it 😳). Young Living's Thieves hand sanitizer is also currently out of stock .... but more should be available soon. In the meantime, here is a recipe you can make for yourself:

2/3 cup Everclear (the potent alcohol you'll need to get at the liquor store)
1/3 cup Aloe vera gel
8-10 drops of Thieves Essential oil ( please refer to Post #1 in this series and refer to the part about paper plates and turkey dinners.... only Young Living essential oils for me)
Mix all together thoroughly... use a small funnel and pour into a small bottle (reuse one you have or find a travel sized one at the store)

It's a well established fact that viruses don't like healthy habits!

Plan of Action #2: Viruses (frankly pretty much all illnesses!) thrive in low frequency environments. For some of you.... this will mean a great deal, but for others.... the concept of frequency will make no sense. Let me explain in simple science.... it's all about electricity/ physics and biology. We humans (actually everything!) operates on electricity.... we are electrically charged.

Frequency is a term used when referring to electrical energy. Even if you are not a science aficionado, follow me for the next 10 seconds here ('cause this ain't 'woo woo' stuff)......
*Frequency is the measure of the rate of the oscillation (of electrical current) and is measured in the number of changes per second - it's also called hertz (Hz).

Everything has a frequency.... even we humans. The health of the human body is determined by where we are electrically. Certain parts of our body are even measured medically..... (think EEG's and EKG's). Overall, it is generally established that our body needs to be at a variable frequency between 62-72 to be healthy.

Viruses and bacteria hate this by the way.... it makes it very difficult for them to set up camp......Viruses start pitching their tents when your body's frequency drops to 57-60 MHz.

So...... what can you and I do to raise our body's frequency and/or keep it functioning in a healthy manner?
Positive thoughts and positive emotions. There are thousands of studies showing how simply thinking and reacting can affect your immune system (ie: causing a dip in your frequency if these things are negative)
💪 Exercise.... not only does it raise your body's frequency, it also helps repair your mitochondria and lengthen telomeres (an important part to health and aging with grace and ease).
🍎 LIVING foods.... ditch the processed foods and drinks and reach for foods that actually have an electrical charge to them. Processed foods are dead. They may have calories, but they are not sustaining long term.
🌳 A clean green lifestyle. If you've hung around me for any length of time, you know this is a cornerstone to my life. You don't have to be a farmgirl to have this kind of life either...... Ditch the common chemicals in your life that drop your frequency faster than a 20lb kettleball hits the floor, and begin using clean green household cleaners, body care products, and makeup. I personally only use Young Living because it's one stop shopping for all these things and I trust them and their ingredients 100%. This is one of the fastest ways to begin reversing low frequency bodies.
🌅 Unplug, disconnect, and get out into nature regularly. I spoke in a previous post about 5G (and will speak more about that later), but electromagnetic frequency does a big (negative) number on our own body's electricity. If you want to bring your body's health to a grinding halt, surround yourself with EMF 24/7. Again folks.... this ain't woo woo stuff... this is physics and biology all wrapped up in one.

Nature provides us with a way to rebalance our frequency/electricity. Trees, plants, the magnetism of the earth... it's one of the reasons you feel so good after a day outside or at the beach. Your body's frequency has had a rebound towards health.

Another advantage to having Young Living in your life are the life giving essential oils. Not all oils are the same ya'll.... if you are using ones from Wally World, I guarantee they are polluted... which nullifies their positive effects on body frequency.
My go to YLEO's when I feel the need to raise my frequency?
🌟 Joy and Forgiveness (both essential oil blends with a high frequency rating)
🌟 Rose oil actually has the highest frequency of all essential oils. (it's terribly expensive if you are using the real stuff.... but it should be.... it takes over 200lbs of rose petals to get a bottle of the pure stuff). Thankfully, it is found in many Young Living blends (including Joy and Forgiveness)
🌟 Helichrysum (it's a must have oil for many health reasons). It can be found in Panaway and other blends too.
🌟 Ravensara (this oil is not often thought of).... but interestingly, if you do a little research, you'll find that viruses are particularly not fond of this oil 😉. This oil too is found in many YL blends.

Young Living has been very thoughtful in their blend formulations and as a pharmacist, that is strikingly important to me. #noflimsypaperplates

Post #4 Corona Virus 101..... Diagnostics

Last night our President declared corona virus a national emergency here in the USA. He also declared that a very small population overall appears to be at high risk. If you are generally a healthy person, that lowers your risk category considerably. (Either way, please refer to Post #3/ Demographics in this series if you aren't sure.)

If you develop flu like symptoms while we are under the umbrella of this declaration, it is prudent to continue to examine the facts:

Fact #1: It's still cold and flu season throughout the United States (and probably the world), and symptoms of a cold, flu, or corona virus are all very similar. Additionally, depending on your overall health status, all illnesses may not look the same.... mild cases of all 3 may not even have much of a fever, while severe cases could technically settle into secondary bacterial infections in some people.

Fact #2: Right now, testing is still sketchy. Some people have been tested as many as 6 times before testing positive. Testing kits from the CDC are faulty according to reports... with a 50% accuracy rate.

Additionally, I've read that mutations of the original virus have already occurred at least once (common with viruses), so my personal confidence level in testing will likely remain low throughout this situation.

Fact #3: If you are "kinda sick" but don't feel awful.... but that inner fear is driving you to want to know.... do I have "IT"?....... is it worth it to go to a dr's office and sit in a germ infested waiting room where you might actually catch something worse than what you have? .... all to receive a test that may not yield accurate results? #rememberwhatcuriositydidtothecat

You do you of course, but my gut tells me, this would not be in my plans for personal care. 😉

Fact #4: Let's just say you DO have "IT", but don't feel much differently than if you had a cold... and THEN, you go to the dr's office to get tested and you, my friend, become the vector and spreader of germs to someone who quite possibly has an existing immunocompromised situation. ...... all to receive a test that, again.... may or may not yield accurate results.

Be kind to others. Please keep your germs to yourself.

Fact #5: Mild illness is not the same as serious illness, and only you know your body and when your symptoms would constitute seeking medical attention. By all means.... go. Be kind tho to others as you evaluate your decision and put your plan into action.

Fact #6: Certain masks are marginally helpful in preventing the spread of this virus. The N95 respirator masks are hard to come by these days, but are the only ones being recommended by the CDC. They filter particles down to .03 microns. (One of the "gain in functionality" issues of the corona virus is its particle size.... which has been found to be anywhere from .05-.02... smaller than what this type of mask is capable of filtering).

Keeping your hands clean, washed, and away from your nose, mouth, and eyes, is really your best option... as well as utilizing an immune boosting lifestyle, which starts with what you put into and on your body on a daily basis (please refer to Post #3 for basic lifestyle tips).

Tomorrow (or perhaps even late tonight if I have time), I'll unpack what we know to be true about viruses and how to create an inhospitable environment for them. I'm spending today working at the pharmacy.... without a mask.

POST #3 Corona Virus 101.... Demographics
Based upon current info, this is what we can safely deduce...

👉 Most cases are hitting ages 30-79 years old, But the fatality rate was 14.8% in people 80 or older, likely reflecting the presence of other diseases, a weaker immune system.... LONGER EXPOSURE to pollution, toxins, and cigarettes or simply worse overall health. (see how this might skew the above overall stats?)

👉 Virus symptoms appear to be mild in ~80% of cases in children (a group not at risk!.... perhaps in part because they have had less exposure in their short lives to pollution, toxins, and cigarettes?) 

👉 Pregnant mamas? Info gleaned in a small group study revealed that the virus appears to be more mild in pregnancy…. But mamas can transmit to their babies. As for the mothers, “Covid-19 seems not to be especially severe in pregnant women, at least based on the small number in this study,” the scientists wrote. Well this is good news! I might also add that pregnant women in China know enough about 5G that they wear special clothing to protect their unborn children. 👉 Personally, my greatest concern lies within this last group.... the immuno-compromised. 👈These people ... these are the ones that are going to need all of our help. The virus is real, and although it does appear to be relatively mild if you are a healthy individual and are taking care of yourself, but the reality is that we have ALOT of unhealthy people in our world. Who would qualify as immunocompromised? According to the CDC.... that would include:
HIV/AIDS
Cancer & Transplant Patients
Rare inherited diseases that affect the immune system
(that's pretty much their list 😳 )


My list of those who might qualify as being immunocompromised is quite a bit longer.... We here in the USA have been encouraged to be vaccinated against pretty much everything under the sun, and yet, we are one of the sickest first world countries in the world. #truthbomb This is another topic I have plans to discuss at some point... not now. But my concerns are on point. Really, anyone who is diabetic, has heart disease, compromised pulmonary function, an autoimmune disorder that is not well managed.... if you know anyone in these categories, I encourage you to encourage them to #dothethings that will help boost their immune systems.

There's no time like the present to start boosting your immunity now. Details to come beyond what I'm about to write.... but let's simply start today with the basics:
1.🍖 Fresh (not processed) foods
2.Clean filtered water (not soft drinks, junk juice etc)
3. Regular exercise
4.☠️🍞🍟🍭🎂🍩💉☢️☣️Remove as much of the toxin load as possible in food, beverages, household cleaners, synthetic air fresheners, body care products, and even cosmetics and replace these things with immune system boosting products whenever possible, or at the very least "green and healthy" products.

😷 Let's get some info out here on the table... like it or not, everyone is a "prepper" to one degree or another. Unless, of course, you fly by the seat of your pants in every aspect of life.
❓Do you make sure you have gas in your car before going on a trip...... ✅
❓Do you keep food in your home for your next meal......✅
❓Have you run out recently and bought 3x's as much toilet paper as you normally buy?
........any of these things would mean that you, somewhere in your brain, have a bit of preparedness built into your psyche.

👉Here's the thing tho.... people, for whatever reason, think about gas, food, and toilet paper before their own health. And yet... if you don't have your health.... AND you don't have the things needed to remain healthy handy...... does anything else really matter? 🤔

👉Secondly.... Emotions….. If you run around thinking you’re going to catch something, your body is already accepting the advice that it’s going to.... and your immune system starts dropping (I know…. Crazy but true)..... Yet hundreds (if not thousands!) of studies show that believing something will happen (good or bad) definitely affects the outcome, even with your health…. This information is designed to put you in the right place emotionally. Pull on your oxygen mask and help yourself so you can help others! #thinkpositively

The emotion "fear" is addressed over 500 times in the Bible. We are told not to have a spirit of fear or timidity but of love and strength. If you are a believer, as I am.... I take our responsibility to "fear not" very seriously. #ifGodiswithuswhocanbeagainstus

👉When preparing what you need for your health, this is NOT the time to cut corners. (that would be like handing out flimsy paper plates from the Dollar store when you’re about to ask that plate to hold Thanksgiving🍗 dinner fixin’s…. Inadequate preparation could backfire on you if you are asking an inadequate product to do something it was never designed to do…. make sure what you are buying will work well under pressure. #KEYPOINT

👉 You’ll hear me refer to essential oils…. I only use Young Living.... precisely for the 🍗 dinner reason above. 👆 You’ll hear me mention some supplements. Unless otherwise stated… only YL. There are a few places where YL doesn’t yet stand in the gap, and so I’ve researched and come up with some brands that I trust and use. Never pick/use a synthetically sourced supplement…. It’s a flimsy paper plate.

👉 And finally, knowledge itself really doesn't matter IF IT'S NOT APPLIED...... so USE the knowledge you glean from this.

Now..... let's move on to some facts.
